la Repubblica

la Repubblica, which translates to "the Republic" in English, is a daily newspaper from Italy. It was established in 1976 in Rome by the publishing group Gruppo Editoriale L'Espresso, now called GEDI Gruppo Editoriale. The founding team included notable figures such as Eugenio Scalfari, Carlo Caracciolo, and Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. Initially, the newspaper had a strong radical leftist viewpoint, but over time it has shifted to a more moderate center-left position.
