Market Rasen Mail
Market Rasen Mail is a weekly publication that caters to the community of Market Rasen and nearby areas in Lincolnshire, England. The newspaper was established in 1856 by Richard Hackett, who was born in 1823 to a farmer in the region. At just 18 years old, Hackett started his career as an apprentice at a printing shop on Queen Street, Market Rasen. After gaining experience as a bookseller in London, he came back to Market Rasen to launch the Market Rasen Weekly Mail and Lincolnshire Advertiser. The inaugural issue hit the stands on September 20, 1856.
