The Wakefield Express is a local newspaper that caters to the City of Wakefield area in West Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1852, it celebrated its 100th anniversary with a film directed by Lindsay Anderson in 1952. The paper is currently owned by National World and is edited by Mark Bradley.

The proposal is to use part of Wakefield Exchange on Union Street as 250-seat conference centre. The event, now in its 13th year, saw dozens of tractors travel 30 miles to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity. The event started and ended at Farmer Copleys, with a lunch break at Ackworth Cricket Club. There were lots of exciting activities available for families at Farmer Copleys, including live music, food and drink, sheep shearing, and craft stalls. Glasshoughton Welfare looked back on their 2024-25 NCE Division One campaign when they held their end of season awards event. It was a mixed bag for the club, but they could be encouraged by a comfortable mid-table finish and some excellent results along the way. Alex Clarke was the big winner at the presentation event as he claimed the players’ player of the year, top goal scorer award and committee player of the year.
