The Bulldogs will play three CUSA games on national TV as a result of the CUSA TV contract. LA Tech will have two games broadcasted on CBS Sports Network, and one game on ESPNU.

65 Downtown Minden will fire up the pits June 13–14 as Grilling on Main returns with a full slate of events featuring live music, food vendors, games, fireworks, and a barbecue competition. Hosted by Minden Main Street, the two-day event invites the public to sample barbecue for $5 per team, with local competitors facing off in brisket, chicken, ribs and a team-provided open dish for the People’s Choice category. The Grand Champion will receive a $4,000 prize and an award.

35 The eighth annual Minden St. Jude Diamond Open will take place June 14–15, bringing youth baseball and softball teams together for a weekend of sports and fundraising in memory of Stanton Haynes. Held over Father’s Day weekend, the tournament benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and is presented this year by Town & Country Health & Rehab of Minden. Organizers are preparing for one of the largest events to date, now expanded to include a softball division for the first time.

41 Registration for Discovery Camp 2025 at the Minden Library Branch will take place Thursday, May 29, from 2 PM to 6:30 PM. The event is open to children from the southern parts of Webster Parish, including Minden, Doyline, Heflin, and Sibley. Campers will have the opportunity to register for this year’s summer program and participate in one of six 45-minute sessions of the STEAM Museum, a traveling exhibit provided by Mobile Ed Productions.

52 Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) will host its annual Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs Manufacturing Camp in two sessions this summer: July 14-17 and July 21-24. The camp will run from 9 AM to 3 PM each day at the NLTCC Minden campus. Open to students ages 12 to 14, the camp costs $100 per participant. The fee includes a camp t-shirt and lunch each day.
