The victory secured a berth in the College World Series for LSU, which will participate in the CWS for the 20th time in its illustrious baseball history, and for the second time in three seasons.

    29 The LSU Tigers open the best-of-three Baton Rouge Super Regional against West Virginia Saturday at 1 p.m. at Skip Bertman Field, Alex Box Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 5 (ESPN2). Game 3, if necessary, is scheduled for Monday. LSU is looking for its 10th Super Regional title. The last came in 2023. The Tigers went on to win the College World Series.
