    Gary Dodson's photography will be on display at Dada Post USA from June 6 to 27, according to a community announcement. The opening reception is set for 5-8 p.m. June 6, and the gallery, located at 125 Boswell Ave. in Norwich, will be open from 3-6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Dodson, a North Carolina native, earned his MFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

    Even with a total reduction of $800,000, all three questions on the ballot for the Town of Plainfield’s budget vote failed to pass again at the referendum vote June 2. This is the second time all three questions failed to pass at the ballot box. The majority of voters opposed all three questions at the referendum May 19. At the budget vote June 2, the proposed $14,320,593 operating budget failed, with 563 yes votes and 717 no votes.

    Skeletal remains found in Thompson have been identified as a missing Plainfield woman. The remains were located on Lowell Davis Road in Thompson Oct. 17, 2024. According to the Plainfield Police Department, the remains were later identified as Alicia Balderston by the State of Connecticut's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Plainfield Police said May 31 that the cause of death is undetermined. Balderston had been missing since 2023, according to Plainfield Police. On Oct.
