As temperatures have soared across the country and UK infrastructure ground to a near halt, fear not, the world of Public Relations has remained resilient and carried on. Here I am again with this week’s Good and Bad PR. Have you tried turning it off, and then back on again? We are back and raring to go. Once again it has been a monster week in the world of communications. Hold on to your hats and let’s take a mosey through the goings on of the last seven days… Political shenanigans a plentyMy weekly review of election PR campaigns so far is that it has been fairly even on the cock-ups front. Summer is done and we appear to have fast-forwarded through to Autumn weather. What a very British start to a conversation. Welcome to this week’s Good and Bad PR. Work for a king, not a clownThis is not so much a media story from this week, but I think this brilliantly reflects McDonald's own approach to communications. Burger King is keen to seize an opportunity to poke fun at its golden arch-branded rivals, while McDonald's tends not to get involved.

Hello dearest readers and welcome to another instalment of Good and Bad PR with Andy Barr - huh, that rhymes. I’m going to say that it has been a strong campaign week for public relations world. Quite a few of the stories that I have been sent have come from traditional public relations activity, which makes a nice change. Let’s have a nosey through shall we.
