    Wise County Commissioners extended the county’s 90-day, weather-based burn ban Monday as the July Fourth holiday approaches. The renewal of the conditional burn ban was recommended by Wise County Fire Marshal Jeff Doughty. Under the ban, controlled burns are allowed unless weather conditions present an elevated or high-risk fire danger. Burning is also prohibited under Red Flag days, which are designated by the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth.
