Game Informer (GI) is a monthly magazine from the United States dedicated to video games. It includes articles, news, strategies, and reviews related to video games and their consoles. As of December 2014, the magazine boasts a circulation of over 6.7 million copies each month, making it the fourth-largest magazine in the country by circulation. Game Informer was launched in August 1991 when FuncoLand introduced a six-page publication. It is currently owned and published by GameStop Corp., the parent company of the popular video game retailer, which acquired FuncoLand in 2000. This connection allows for significant in-store promotions. Subscribing to the magazine also grants access to exclusive content on its official website.
