The Mining Journal

The Mining Journal

The Mining Journal is the leading daily newspaper serving Marquette, Michigan, and the surrounding Upper Peninsula region. Similar to other major daily newspapers, the Mining Journal publishes every day of the week. Its distribution covers a broad area, as Marquette is the largest city for quite a distance in any direction. While the Mining Journal is available throughout the entire Upper Peninsula on Sundays, its distribution on other days is more limited due to budget cuts. The paper either has bureaus in several cities within the Upper Peninsula or collaborates with other newspapers owned by Ogden to provide news coverage.
