The Salem News (Salem, OH)
The Review is a local daily newspaper located in East Liverpool, Ohio, catering to the residents of East Liverpool, southern Columbiana County, Ohio, and northern Hancock County, West Virginia. It was established in 1879 by William McCord, who had previously been the city editor for the Pittsburgh Gazette. Initially, it was launched as a weekly publication called The Saturday Review on October 29 of that year. In 1885, the newspaper transitioned to daily publication, a schedule it continues to follow today. After this change, it was renamed The Evening News Review. By 1904, the name was shortened to The Evening Review, and by the 1930s, it became known as the East Liverpool Review. Currently, the publication is simply referred to as The Review and is part of Ogden Newspapers, which also owns other regional newspapers, including the Morning Journal in Lisbon, Ohio, Salem News in Salem, Ohio, Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio, Herald-Star in Steubenville, Ohio, Weirton Daily Times in Weirton, West Virginia, Martins Ferry Times Leader in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and The Intelligencer & Wheeling News Register in Wheeling, West Virginia.

East Liverpool senior defensive lineman D’Shawn Kirby and West Branch junior quarterback Jeremiah Thomas were named to the All-Ohio first team Tuesday by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.
