    A tornado warning has been issued for Summit County Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service. The warning is in effect until 6:45 p.m. for southern Portage County, southwestern Mahoning County, northeastern Stark County, and southeastern Summit County. At 6:09 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Mogadore, or 7 miles southwest of Ravenna, moving east at 30 mph, the weather service said.

    ALLIANCE ‒ The first session of the city's new Housing Oversight Board yielded few, if any, significant decisions. The June 18 meeting was an introductory session for the five members to familiarize themselves with the purpose and policies of the board. Space was limited, but the meeting also was streamed live on Zoom. The biggest takeaway from the meeting came after it had ended, regarding single-family homes.

    ALLIANCE ‒ Limited space will be available for today's first meeting of the city's new Housing Oversight Board, city officials said. The meeting is at 2 p.m. in the City Administration Building at 504 E. Main St., in a conference room on the second floor. In an email, officials said in-person attendance has been limited to the first 40 citizens, on a first-come, first-served basis due to capacity issues.

    JACKSON TWP. − Gouldram Holdings LLC is suing Royal Docks Brewing Co. and its founders, John and Adriana Bikis, claiming they failed to disclose financial issues and uphold aspects of a deal made when they accepted the investor's money. Gouldram Holdings was brought in last year to take a controlling interest of the brewery and infuse cash into the operation, but an agreement fell apart earlier this year, leading to the closure of the three Royal Docks taprooms.
