We were flying back from Mexico to the U.S. My husband, Peter, books all our flights, and he had arranged it so we did not have to get up at “the crack of stupid,” as he would say. Instead, the cab arrived in the late morning, so I had time for a last walk around the city before we said goodbye to the wonderful staff at the apartment hotel where we stay every year.

    To the Editor:No one likes when their name is misspelled. Some people might be offended by this, like politicians. And, when the misspelling is brought to the offender’s attention, but ignored, this would now be considered to be offensive, as it would be displaying a total lack of concern or even caring. In an article many weeks ago, TWK brought up the misspelling of the band, The Doobie Brothers, on the visit Ukiah website, yet, it remains incorrect.
