DANVILLE — Danville High School students’ all-day access to their cellphones could be changing as early as next school year. A long-debated no-phone policy has already been implemented in other Vermilion County schools and at the Danville district’s Kenneth D. Bailey Academy, an alternative school for students in seventh through 12th grades. The Illinois Legislature also has been moving forward on a bill to ban phones during class time. The proposed restrictions have brought mixed responses.
