WHAV-LP (97.9 FM), known as 97.9 WHAV, is a low-power radio station that operates as a non-commercial entity in Haverhill, Massachusetts. It is owned by Public Media of New England, Inc. and primarily serves the Merrimack Valley area. WHAV-LP identifies itself as the successor to the historic WHAV (1490 AM), which is also based in Haverhill. The station broadcasts from the same location as the original WHAV's transmitter from 1947. Despite this, the original WHAV is still active today under the name WCCM.
