According to the Minot Police Department, just before 3 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a deceased man in the river. The person was discovered by people who had been fishing in the area, and the Minot Fire Department recovered the body.

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Here are this morning’s top stories and weather with KX News On The Go: A grass fire was reported just west of Burlington. According to the Minot Rural Fire Department, the wildfire started around 11 a.m. on Sunday. Crews from several agencies responded to the fire, which has been fully contained. As of now, we do not know how many acres were burned in the wildfire. Easter has come and gone, and that means it’s time for Spring Cleaning around the capital city.
North Platte Regional Airport receives grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for new terminal building

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - In June and July, the Federal Aviation Administration awarded the North Platte Lee Bird Regional airport a $3,404,291 grant. The grant will go toward construction for a new terminal building. Imperial, Cozad and Lexington will also each be awarded $365,573 from the Federal Aviation Administration. Imperial and Cozad will use the funds for the construction for a new taxiway and Lexington will use the funds for a new hangar.

Due to an area of high pressure centered to our east, we will see the mainly sunny to partly cloudy skies continuing during the day Monday, with highs in the low to mid 80s with breezy winds at around 5 to 10 mph. Overnight lows will drop down into the 60s with mainly clear skies and a slight chance of a thunderstorm.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Construction at Einstein Bros in North Platte is nearing completion, and the franchise is now accepting job applications. Owner Amanda Huebner said they are looking for a minimum of eight employees and one store manager. The benefits include $13 an hour for the employees and a salaried position for the manager. Each position will have other benefits with them. Huebner said the work hours will be flexible with the store hours being 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
