On April 13, NICU patients and families were invited back to enjoy fun activities such as face painting and meet their favorite princesses and superheroes. “It gives us a chance to reconnect with those families and to see their little ones grow up and doing so well,” said NICU Nurse Tracy Henrich.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A new housing development is nearing completion on Sioux City’s west side. An open house was held on Sunday, April 13 for six homes that are under construction on West 5th Street. The project was made possible using HOME Investment Partnership funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Products include soybeans, beef, corn, pork, and wheat. The state’s top customers include China, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Canada, the European Union and Taiwan. Nebraska is also a top exporter of ethanol from corn, livestock feeds, corn meal, sugars, and sweeteners.

STANTON, Neb. (KTIV) - A Yankton man received a prison sentence for operating a vehicle to avoid arrest, and for one charge of child abuse. According to a release, 46-year-old Jason Waddell was sentenced to one year in prison to be served consecutively with a five to seven-year prison term that he received in Wayne County a week prior. The release states that on Sept. 20, 2024, Waddell was seen speeding at 118 mph in a 65 mph zone on Highway 275 west of Pilger.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Anyone traveling on westbound U.S. 20 and planning to use the ramp to reach southbound I-29 will need to be aware of an upcoming closure. According to a release from the Iowa DOT, crews will close the ramp at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 10 to repair the guardrail. The repairs are expected to be completed by 2 p.m.The release states that traffic on U.S. 20 will be directed to travel north on I-29 to Floyd Boulevard to enter I-29 southbound.
