MARATHON, Wis. (WSAW) - Both the Marathon softball and baseball teams grabbed wins on Thursday evening, taking down conference rival Edgar. On the softball diamond, the Marathon softball team won 10-2. The Red Raiders used early offense to take down Edgar, playing through some light rain showers. With the win, Marathon splits the series after Edgar beat them 2-0 on Tuesday. In baseball, the Marathon baseball squad rallied from an early deficit to beat Edgar 5-3.

(WSAW) - Three-time All-Pro tackle Ryan Ramczyk is calling it a career. The Stevens Point native and Saints great announced his retirement on Thursday night. Ramczyk graduated from SPASH before starting his collegiate career at UW-Stevens Point. From there, he’d transfer to Wisconsin, evolving himself into a first-round draft pick. The Saints selected Ramczyk in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft with the 32nd overall pick.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - The UW-Stevens Point baseball team took home two victories on Sunday, sweeping their doubleheader with UW-Stout, 7-5 and 7-3. In game one, the Pointers bounced back from a 2-0 first-inning deficit. A two-run fourth helped turn the tide for the Pointers, headlined by an RBI double by Jackson Adams. The Pointers also had a crooked number in the sixth, scoring three runs. They went on to win the game 7-5.

WESTON, Wis. (WSAW) - The Greenheck Turner Community Center played host to its second tournament in as many weeks on Friday. D.C. Everest hosted a girls soccer invitational, which included eight teams. Elsewhere, the Pacelli softball team came away with a win against Merrill. In the soccer tournament, D.C. Everest not only got to play a game as the host school but also did so honoring their 2015 state championship team.

EDGAR, Wis. (WSAW) - The spring sports season continues to warm up, as does the weather as Edgar and Rib Lake baseball met outside on the diamond on Tuesday. Elsewhere, the Wausau Wild lacrosse team stuck to the indoors, facing DeForest in Greenheck Turner Community Center. In baseball, Edgar took down Rib Lake 9-3. The Wildcats built an early lead thanks to a four-run second inning by the Wildcats, sparked by a two-run double from Aiden Butler. Edgar is now 2-0 on the young season.
