SYLACAUGA - The Sylacauga City Council tabled an invoice from the law firm Alexander Hyde for $8,878 during their regular meeting Tuesday, March 18. The invoice, dated Jan. 31 of this year, will automatically reappear on the regular agenda for the first meeting in April. The bill comes not from the city's regular attorney, Win Livingston, but from a law firm in Montgomery that specializes in representing cities in personnel and civil service related matters.

TALLADEGA - The Talladega City Council held a work session Monday discussing the former East Side Head Start Building in the Knoxville Community, but ultimately took no action during the meeting. As it stands now, the city is considering a partnership with Learning Ladder Academy LLC, which would not only provide pre-school and after-school programs in the community, but would also convert the currently vacant building into a facility to fit the needs of the community.
