    BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio – City Council has voted unanimously to pay no more than $11 million for a new fire station on Broadview Road at Oakes Road. The amount, which council approved April 7, includes $8.5 million from the city’s general fund plus $2.5 million in federal and Cuyahoga County grants. The amount is $3 million less than the $14 million than was originally proposed in February. The $14 million included the federal and county grants plus $11.5 million in city funds.

    BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – A plan to repair a sinking foundation at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School is on hold. That’s because the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District has so far been unable to find a contractor to perform the work at a price it deems acceptable. “It’s kind of in limbo,” schools Treasurer Craig Yaniglos said of the project at the April 14 Board of Education meeting.

Police noticed the man’s Cadillac traveling southbound on West 150th Street near Brookpark. The car didn’t seem to have a license plate. Also, the man didn’t signal as he turned eastbound onto Brookpark.

    Community NewsPublished: May. 10, 2025, 7:34 p.m.BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Cleveland man, 22, was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. April 24 after leading police on a vehicle chase. Police saw the man’s Nissan Sentra in the parking lot of Travelodge by Wyndham, 13043 Brookpark Road. They had trouble reading the temporary license tag in the car’s rear window. When police were finally able to read the tag, they learned that the car’s owner, the Cleveland man, didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
