DEEP EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - We will hang on to a 30% chance of rain showers overnight with lows in the upper 60′s. With more rain chances staying with us through early Friday morning, it would be a good idea to keep the umbrellas handy and close by, just in case you find yourself underneath a passing downpour in the next 36 hours. Thursday will be partly cloudy, warm, and humid with a 30% chance of scattered downpours.

The time frame to get wet favors the midday and afternoon hours tomorrow as a disturbance will move up from southeast Texas, bringing us wet weather from the south. The thunderstorms will likely be rowdy, containing torrential downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds.

DEEP EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - Due to a low-end risk for severe weather in play for tonight’s storm complex moving in from central Texas, the First Alert Weather Day will be extended through tonight and into early tomorrow morning. We do have a Flood Watch in effect through 7 a.m. Tuesday for Angelina, Cherokee, Nacogdoches, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby counties to account for another cluster of heavy thunderstorms that will arrive overnight and into early Tuesday morning.

DEEP EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with lows dropping into the middle 60′s. Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies. It will be warming up and become a bit more humid with daytime highs topping out in the lower 90′s. The stalled out frontal boundary will begin to retreat northward as a warm front these next few days. It will be a very gradual process, but let’s just say that this reprieve from the humidity will be short-lived.

The big rainfall winners today were in Houston county where Cindy in Vistula picked up nearly half-a-foot of rain. Elsewhere, most areas received very manageable rainfall amounts, which limited the flood concerns. #etxwx https://t.co/vYhtUFNHMy

The @NWSShreveport found that the widespread tree damage felt throughout San Augustine and Shelby counties from the supercell storm that rolled through these areas this past Sunday evening was from straight line winds and not a tornado. #etxwx https://t.co/lIx2agS6bO

Heavy downpours are ongoing at @SFASU in Nacogdoches at this 1 p.m. hour. If you can stay inside and off the roads for the near future, you will do yourself a favor. #etxwx https://t.co/xuyalIVFqU
