The second annual Main Mom event hosted by Okanagan Moms is coming to Kelowna later this month. Hosted at the Coast Capri Hotel on Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the drop-in event provides moms at all stages of motherhood with a place to connect, relax and learn about local resources, supports and services that are available for moms, babies and children.

Festerling brings over 30 years of hockey experience to the table, getting promoted from assistant coach to head coach, while Abby Cook just wrapped up a season in the Professional Women's Hockey League splitting games between Boston and Minnesota.

The U SPORTS Cross Country Championships are coming to Kelowna, set to be hosted by UBCO this weekend at Mission Recreation Park. This is just the second time in UBCO history that the achool has hosted a university level championship — hosting the Canadian Inter-University Curling Canada Championships in 2016. The UBCO Heat have been preparing for more than a year to host cross country student athletes from more than 30 different universities across the country.
