ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The chips started falling in front of them on Friday night as five teams forced the Flyers to cross off name after name on their 2025 NHL draft board. And after all the conjecture and debate, and despite assistant Brent Flahr saying at his pre-draft press conference that, “We are well aware of our own needs,” — meaning the lack of a high-end center — the Flyers took who they thought was “the best player on our board.”kAm%92E A=2J6C H2D qC2>AE@?

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — In a surprise move on Friday, the Flyers made a deal with their Keystone State rivals, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Philly sent pick Nos. 22 and 31 across the state to Pittsburgh for the No. 12 pick, selecting center Jack Nesbitt from Windsor of the OHL. Hundreds of thousands of people marched through Budapest on Saturday, joining the city’s Pride parade in one of the biggest displays of public defiance in Hungary during Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s 15-year rule. Hungarians and visitors from across Europe united in solidarity with the LGBTQ community, which has frequently been the target of the nationalist leader’s policies. They flouted a government ban on the event that drew many first-time participants. kAm“x 92G6 ?6G6C 366?

SEATTLE — There are no banners to show for it, no rings because of it, and no parades on the horizon. But more than three years after it happened, one of the smartest trades in Seahawks history continues to look like one of the most necessary. It isn't news that in March of 2022, the Seahawks dealt Russell Wilson to the Broncos for two first-round picks and two second-round picks, among other assets.

NEW YORK — NYPD cops have again been barred from marching in uniform in the city’s annual Pride parade, a decision Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch Friday said is “deeply offensive” and conflicts with the inclusivity members of the LGTBQ-plus community have fought to achieve. The organizer, Heritage of Pride, about two weeks ago informed the NYPD, including the Gay Officers Action League, or GOAL, that it was continuing its ban for a fourth straight year.
