A family trip to Italy ignited a fire in John Lamberton to pursue a dream of establishing a mobile pizza business. Lamberton’s food truck, Lupo Rosso, serves up wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizzas such as the international classic Margherita, Marinara and seasonal pies like The Brat. Chef’s Table recently caught up with Lamberton to talk to him about his on-the-go pizza business. Q. What is the history of Lupo Rosso? A. In 2015, my family went on a trip to Italy.

Sept. 24, 1923The Scranton State Hospital needed the public’s help identifying a man who wandered into a Moscow garage with no memory. The man arrived from the Moscow area on Sept. 21 and found his way into the garage of Jenkins Motor Company in Moscow shortly after 11 p.m. The attendant on duty called Moscow police, and Police Chief C.H. Miller responded to the scene. Miller talked to the man and later drove him to Scranton police headquarters.

Sept. 23, 1978Remaining properties owned by the Pennsylvania Coal Company in Lackawanna County were put up for sale. The sale was announced by attorney Michael Evans, trustee for the bankrupt Erie-Lackawanna Railway Co. The railroad owned Pennsylvania Coal Company. The coal company’s properties in the county totaled close to 4,000 acres and were located mostly in Throop, Dunmore and Olyphant.
