DUNN COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - A 71-year-old man from Gardner has died after a one-vehicle motorcycle accident north of Killdeer. The driver was traveling on Highway 22 Sunday afternoon in Dunn County when he missed a curve in the road. Police say the bike overturned along the curve, and the driver died from his injuries. I know it’s only June 2nd, but things are feeling a little too quiet around the internet for Pride, if you know what I mean. It might be because a bunch of brands haven’t left Twitter, and haven’t fully embraced Bluesky, but those first of the month posts you usually see on social media? I’m hearing digital crickets. That could be on me, but when I did just peek over to that old site just now, more than a few of the #Pride posts were people using the tag for hateful or unrelated posts.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A musical group from St. Mary’s Central High School has been named by the Governor as this year’s Official State Band. The school’s Wind Orchestra was given the special title by Governor Kelly Armstrong and First Lady Kjersti Armstrong. They’ll serve the title for the 2025-26 school year. The St. Mary’s Wind Orchestra is made up of 55 members and is directed by Anne Chambers.

MORTON COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - A 52-year-old Carson man has died from injuries in a motorcycle crash in Morton County. The rider was traveling on Highway 49 on Tuesday afternoon between Glen Ullin and Elgin when he traveled off the road during a curve. BURKE COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - A man from Bowbells has died after a motorcycle crash north of Stanley. The crash happened on Sunday night, as the 29-year-old driver was heading north on Highway 8 and drove off the roadway during a curve. Police say his motorcycle vaulted over a field approach and broke apart during the impact. Highway Patrol says the driver passed away at the scene of the accident. Copyright 2025 KFYR.
