    SHERDIAN COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - A crash between a vehicle and a tractor on Tuesday afternoon led to the death of a 67-year-old McClusky woman. The woman was driving on Highway 200 near McClusky when her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane, hitting a tractor. The driver of the vehicle died on the scene, and the road was closed for roughly four hours. The driver of the tractor was uninjured in the crash. Copyright 2025 KFYR. All rights reserved.

    BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A U.S. soldier and Washburn native who served in World War II will be given a military burial in a few days. The U.S. Army announced Friday morning that the remains of Private First Class Charles Reiser will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery on April 23. Reiser was killed on June 15, 1944, during an operation in the Northern Mariana Islands. The Army said it’s believed his unit was providing support to Marines who were landing on the island at the time.

It will serve as a central platform where you can find up-to-date information from the state’s agencies. The idea behind the program started in 2022, to make information more accessible to the state’s residents.

    BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Hunting licenses for elk, moose and sheep are now available online. North Dakota Game and Fish said there are 960 elk licenses available, which is an increase of more than 100 from last year. There are nearly 300 moose licenses, which is also an increase from 2024. Sheep hunting season is not yet set in stone. Game and Fish said the season will be determined after Sept. 1, once sheep surveys have been completed.

    DUNN COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - A 31-year-old Georgia man has passed away from injuries received during a one-vehicle crash in Dunn County. The driver was traveling between Killdeer and Watford City Tuesday night on a wet gravel road when his vehicle went off the road and overturned in Crosby Creek.
