BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The North Dakota A.P. Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association has released the Class A and 9-Man Football Polls. Kindred is the unanimous number one ranked team in Class A, while LaMoure-Litchville-Marion takes over the top spot in 9-Man but only by one point over North Prairie.

DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - Dickinson’s Jake Kubas is on the New York Giants 53-man roster. The Trinity High School graduate was a 3-year starter at North Dakota State, before signing with the Giants after the draft. The guard reportedly received the largest guaranteed amount of any of the teams’ undrafted free agents ($270,000). Kubas is listed at just under 6-4 and 308-pounds. DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - High School took center stage last week because it was the season opener for most of those teams. This week, it’s time for the college football season to start and most of the games are on Thursday; that’s when Dickinson State is hosting Rocky Mountain College. The Blue Hawks and Battlin’ Bears will be in the same conference next year, and they already have a long football history. It will be their 45th meeting.
