LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man spent about six hours inside his totaled vehicle after crashing into Deadmans Run to avoid hitting a deer Tuesday morning, according to Lincoln Fire and Rescue. First responders arrived at the bridge over Deadmans Run, near 29th Street and Cornhusker Highway, around 7:45 a.m. for a vehicle that was on its top in the water.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - An image captured from video surveillance shows the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run with a Culler Middle School student during the first week of class in August. The SUV is described as a dark colored 2017-2019 GMC Acadia Denali, according to Lincoln Crime Stoppers. A 13-year-old student was crossing Vine Street in the crosswalk in front of Culler Middle School around 7:50 a.m. Aug. 15 when he was hit by an eastbound SUV which had a red light.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police are on the hunt for the man who stole a running truck from a southeast Lincoln gas station. A surveillance camera at a building across the street from the Kwik Shop at 48th and Calvert shows the owner get out of the truck and walk into the gas station. A short time later, the video shows another man, described by Lincoln Crime Stoppers as being in his 20s with blonde hair, get into the white pickup truck and drive out of the parking lot.
