WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita is heading into spring still in stage two drought conditions meaning water restrictions from the city have not been lifted. “We’re really hoping to get some good rains this spring, we haven’t gotten as much as we want so far, but we do want people just to be vigilant about those water restrictions,” said City of Wichita Public Information Officer Megan Lovely. During stage two you can only water outdoors one day each week.

(KWCH) - Chris Maybrier, President of Harry Street Carpet, is speaking with his suppliers more and more as he prepares for tariffs to raise prices. “I’ve seen memos anywhere from two to 20 percent and they’re still coming,” said Maybrier. He’s working to figure out what will cost him more and what alternative products he has. “Almost every piece of carpet made that we sell, is made here, is tufted here,” said Maybrier. “A lot of the counter top material is going to be affected.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Voters in Haysville and Mulvane are getting ready to go to the polls on Tuesday. Both districts are proposing bonds: Haysville for nearly $80 million and Mulvane is asking for about $50 million for improvement projects and another $9 million for a new early childhood center. Haysville plans to use the bond to finance improvements that include roof repairs, HVAC updates and the construction of a career and technical education addition at Campus High School.
