Chick's Deli in Cherry Hill won bragging rights as "best cheesesteak in South Jersey" after a four-week competition. The deli defeated strong contenders such as Yellow Submarine, Donkey's Place, Lillo's Tomato Pies and Tony Boloney's. Chick's is known for its consistent quality, using the same type of meat, cheese and rolls. It began with the fans of 16 local sandwich shops battling it out over the last four weeks for bragging rights over the best cheesesteak in South Jersey.

The popular Westmont Diner suffered an early morning kitchen area fire March 26 and had to close down. Owner Christos Prentzas shared the news on Westmont Diner's Facebook page prior to announcing a GoFundMe for the restaurant, which is located at 572 W. Cuthbert Blvd. “Thankfully, everyone is safe, but the damage requires us to pause operations while we assess and make repairs," Prentzas wrote in the post, thanking customers and telling them to keep an eye out for updates.

In one corner we have Chick’s Deli in Cherry Hill, and in the other corner we have Yellow Submarine of Maple Shade. We started out with a Sweet 16 of teams in search of finding the best cheesesteak place in South Jersey. In the Final Four, Chick’s Deli defeated Donkey’s Place 4,106-625.

A stand was recently added in the Turnersville area of Washington Township by Zach Rosskamm and Shunori Ramanathan. Those same franchise owners plan to open a second location in Winslow Township, approximately 14 miles from where the first one will open. The Winslow Township property is located at 528 Berlin Cross Keys Road.
