PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that veteran wide receiver Gabe Davis is scheduled to make a free agent visit to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday. Davis spent the 2024 season with Jacksonville and the previous four campaigns in Buffalo. He was released by the Jaguars on May 9 after completing just one year of a 3-year, $39 million free agent contract. Davis suffered a season-ending torn meniscus in his left knee in a loss to Detroit last November.

PHOENIX, Arizona (WKBN) – ESPN’s Shams Charania is reporting that a pair of Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coaches, Johnnie Bryant and Jordan Ott, are the two finalists for the head coaching position with the Phoenix Suns. According to the report, both of them are expected to interview with Suns owner Mat Ishibia, and a decision is expected to be made this week. Both Bryant and Ott helped the Cavaliers win 64 regular-season games as well as the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed second-baseman Ronny Simon off waivers from the Miami Marlins on Monday. Simon gained national attention last week in a game against the Padres, committing multiple errors in a three-inning span. He was later seen wiping tears from his eyes and was consoled by teammates. He was designated for assignment by Miami last week.
