    As a reminder, travelers will need to have a Real ID compliant driver's license beginning on May 7, 2025. The Real ID Act will be enforced that day, meaning every passenger 18 years and older must present a Real ID, or another form of identification. Those other forms may be a valid U.S. passport, or a military ID. Passengers who do not have their Real ID will be pulled aside for additional screening.

    Annual efforts have begun to treat the invasive Japanese Beetles, right here in Pasco. In fact, multiple homes have already received their treatment today, April 15, 2025. Japanese Beetles, an insect South Central Washingtonians are all too familiar with since their detection in 2020. Three were found in Grandview and Sunnyside that year, that number has since risen to just under 27,000 last year. The Washington State Department of Agriculture has noticed how destructive the beetles can be.

These distractions range from interacting with passengers, applying makeup , eating, to the most common: using a cell phone. The first few are considered secondary offenses, whereas anything related to the cell phone is a primary infraction.

On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, folks might've seen a plane flying around the Richland area, and not just any plane, but Benton County Mosquito Control treating mosquitoes pre-hatch.
