    Lorrie Murphy Elk Grove Village Clerk Lorrie Murphy — a village employee for more than two decades — has died after a long illness. Murphy, who also served as Mayor Craig Johnson’s executive assistant, was remembered at a village board meeting Tuesday night. Her June 6 passing at 63 years old was first announced in an obituary published June 13 in the Daily Herald. “She’s done a phenomenal job on behalf of this community, and she’s going to be missed,” Johnson said.
