MARINETTE — An entity has come forward with a desire to purchase the Duer Gym in Marinette, and if details can be worked out, the homeless sector in the area might be the benefactor. Menominee council OKs fire truck purchases

MENOMINEE — The Menominee City Council Monday voted unanimously to approve the purchase of two fire trucks — a used engine from the City of Marinette and a new engine targeted for delivery later this decade. The vote for both purchases was 7-0. Council members William Plemel and Michael DeDamos were excused.

MENOMINEE — A possible security breach involving former Mayor Jean Stegeman and a “secret key” resurfaced Monday at the Menominee City Council meeting. MARINETTE — Longtime alderperson Dorothy Kowalski was reelected as council president Tuesday at a reorganizational meeting of the Marinette Common Council. Kowalski and alderman Tom Karban both were nominated. Kowalski received six votes, compared to three for Karban.
