MADISON (WKOW) - Madison Police will provide an update Thursday about the Abundant Life Christian School shooting investigation. Two victims were killed and six others were hurt in the December school shooting. The victims were identified as teacher Erin West, 42, and student Rubi Vergara, 14. Police identified the shooter as Natalie "Samantha" Rupnow, 15. She died at a local hospital after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (WKOW) - The man who drove his car off the road and hit a mother, her son and their dog has been arrested for reckless homicide, the Cottage Grove Police Department announced during a news conference on Thursday. The crash on the 1300 block of Landmark Drive Monday evening killed Dr. Kami Hansen, a chiropractor, and injured her son. Their dog died at the scene.

The crash happened Monday evening on Landmark Drive. Family identified the woman who died as Dr. Kami Hansen. Police are investigating what led up to the crash, but said Tuesday they were looking into the "actions and motivations" of an individual involved.

The husband of the woman who died told 27 News her name is Dr. Kami Hansen. She's a chiropractor with Heartland Family Chiropractic. The business announced her death this morning on its Facebook page. The Village of Cottage Grove Police Department reported the crash happened around 6:35 p.m. Monday on Landmark Drive.

The criminal complaint states the couple discussed sexually assaulting the baby before it was born. Madison Police arrested Skyler Klassen, 22, was arrested last week after officers found evidence related to child pornography on his phone.
Clean Lakes Alliance encourages community involvement for Earth Day

MADISON (WKOW) -- Clean Lakes Alliance is partnering with several organizations for Earth Day events and is encouraging the community to get involved. The City of Madison is hosting an 'Earth Day Challenge' on Saturday, April 26. People are encouraged to get together with friends and neighbors to clean up Madison parks. TOWN OF ALBION, Wis. (WKOW) -- Police arrested a Madison man after a vehicle pursuit Tuesday morning. The Dane County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle pursuit started in the town of Albion around 8:30 a.m. Deputies responded to the 500 block of Hillside Road for a report of a man acting erratically.
Medical examiner identifies man killed in Stoughton crash

STOUGHTON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who died following a crash Friday. Rodney W. Trunzo, 78, of Stoughton was killed after a vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree in the 500 block of Veterans Road Friday, April 11. The Stoughton Police Department is investigating what happened. The Dane County Medical Examiner says a preliminary autopsy confirms Trunzo died as a result of injuries from the crash. Additional testing is underway.

Sunday, April 13 deputies were called to a home in the town of Portland for a possible domestic disturbance. While they were there, deputies learned of a suspected clandestine laboratory used for making drugs in the basement of the home.

TOWN OF AVON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Dane Medical Examiner's Office has identified the woman who died in a crash April 10. Madalyn M. Samonig, 26, of Orfordville was killed following a crash near West Skinner Road and South Moriarty Road in the town of Avon. The medical examiner says preliminary results of her autopsy show she died of injuries from the crash, but additional testing is underway.
