The incident occurred just south of Interstate 16, across from the TA Travel Center.     A Register family of three has been displaced after a fire broke out at their home Friday night, June 20, 2025 in the 2800 block of Highway 46. Bulloch County 911 received a call at 10:39 pm and dispatched both the Bulloch County Fire Department and the Statesboro Fire Department to the scene. The first Bulloch County engine arriving reported heavy fire coming from the rear of the single-story, wooden-framed house.
