    CHICAGO (CBS) — A father-son detective team in Griffith, Indiana, solved a 1981 cold case with the help of technology that wasn't around when the murder happened. Gregory Thurson was charged with the murder of 51-year-old John Blaylock. In 2018, a Griffith police detective with help of his dad, a retired Griffith detective, looked into the cold case.  They sent blood samples found at the scene to the Indiana State Police, and a DNA profile was developed.

    According to multiple reports, citing a letter sent to tenants, the mall, with some exceptions, will "close its doors permanently" on March 22. The Daily Herald reported the letter from the mall's owner told tenants they were "grateful for your partnership since we aqcuired Spring Hill Mall on July 16, 2021."Kohan Retail Investment Group, which owns the mall, could not immediately be reached for comment, however.

Josh Jury, a 17-year-old from Homewood-Flossmoor, recounted his experience visiting a town near Tel Aviv during the attacks. He was with American teens, celebrating the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah with dancing and singing.

Lollapalooza was a touring event back in those days – making a stop at the World Music Theater in Tinley Park.
