MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two University of Wisconsin Madison deans are reappointed after their five-year reviews. Dean Vallabh Sambamurthy of the University of Wisconsin Business School will return along with the Dean of the School of Pharmacy Steve Swanson. The reviews for each started last fall, and the University says both have received feedback based on their review results. A group of staff, faculty, alumni, donors and more than a dozen individuals conducted the interviews.

NECEDAH, Wis. (WMTV/WBAY) - The rental property that caught fire Sunday in Juneau County, leaving half a dozen people killed, was not legally licensed to rent out, according to the Wood County Health Department. The property off Morro’s Mile Road near Necedah was being rented by a family when it caught fire overnight. Six people died including three children. Neighbors say the home was regularly rented out through Airbnb.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) - A school superintendent in Wisconsin is speaking out for the first time after a parent pushed him off the graduation stage nearly two weeks ago. Superintendent Dr. Rainey Briggs spoke with WMTV this week after what happened garnered national attention with many calling the incident racially motivated. Briggs says a lot has happened since the push, and he finally found himself ready to talk about it.
