The Ritz has been a staple here in Scranton for more than 100 years and not only has a new look, but a lot to look forward to. More than a century after the building was built in the heart of Scranton, the historic venue now known as The Ritz has been revamped.

BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The storm that came through our viewing area brought damage throughout northeastern Pennsylvania, hitting areas in Columbia County extra hard. Driving through Berwick, you can barely go a mile without seeing the damage that was done Wednesday evening. A store in Berwick took the brunt of the storm, collapsing from the strength of rain and winds. All over the borough, trees had fallen and some were completely uprooted.

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — More than 1,000,000 Geisinger health patients may have been the target of a cyber breach in November of last year. A former nuance communications employee did have access to more than 1,000,000 Geisinger patients’ information. 28/22 News spoke with an expert in cyber hacks and learned how you can keep your information safe. An epidemic nationwide: Cyber attacks are taking over, one occurring nearly every day.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The windy conditions throughout NEPA took a toll on lots of homes and properties, including a few dangerously close calls. It was an extremely windy day in Lackawanna County and those winds not only caused power outages but even resulted in some severe damage around the county. “Me and my dad went to get some breakfast at the waffle house, and the wind was just blowing like crazy. It was scary, but it seemed to calm down a lot,” said Waverly resident Danny Dolcetti.
