The Garden City Police Department needs your help finding a missing 15-year-old.Keyla Garcia is a hispanic female. Police describe her as 5’2”, about 115 pounds with dark brown/black hair and brown eyes. Garcia was last seen at her home in Garden City on May 19, 2025 around 11:30 p.m. wearing white shorts, sandals, and an unknown color shirt. Starting this week, there will be several lane closures during the day and at night on I-16 and I-516 in Chatham County as crews continue construction on the interstates. Daytime Closures:Monday, May 19, through Thursday, May 22, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday, May 23, 8 a.m. to Noon. Intermittent, right- and left-lane closures at the following locations at I-16 westbound from the I-16/I-516 Interchange at mile marker 164 to the I-16/I-95 Interchange at mile marker 157.

Shawn Allen has been teaching elementary and middle school for almost 30 years, but decided this year that it was time to take on high school. "I just like the interaction with the kids. I don't feel old when I'm with them," Allen said. Allen said he has always enjoyed working with kids, and becoming a teacher just made sense. Allen teaches World History and Economics at Richmond Hill High School.
Burton Fire crews respond to late night mobile home fire

Above video: your Tuesday morning headlines (4/29) One person is without a home following a house fire in Burton. Just after 11 p.m. Monday, Burton Fire District crews were dispatched to reports of a house fire on Lemon Lane in Burton. Fire crews arrived on the scene to a single-wide mobile home fully consumed in flames. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within ten minutes, but it took them two hours to fully extinguish the fire.
