A fire contained to the attached garage of a two-story Hoffman Estates home caused an estimated $15,000 worth of damage but no injuries Saturday morning. Firefighters were called to the 1200 block of Highland Boulevard at 10:53 a.m., authorities said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. When the first crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the first floor and roof of the house but were able to bring the fire under control.
