VAN WERT, Ohio (WANE) — An Ohio man was airlifted after a crash with a box truck in Van Wert Saturday afternoon. Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers from the Van Wert Post responded to reports of a two-vehicle injury crash a little after noon on Saturday. The crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. 224 and Van Wert Decatur Road in Pleasant Township in Van Wert County, just 40 minutes southeast of Fort Wayne.

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) — 2024 was a big year for the New Haven Wrestling program, and now their success is forever memorialized with a sign along SR 930. The Mayor of New Haven Steven McMichael, city officials and New Haven High School dedicated a sign along State Road 930 E in honor of the historic 2024 Girl’s Wrestling State Championship. After just six years of participating in the Indiana High School Girls Wrestling (IHSGW) State Finals, the Lady Bulldogs won it all.

ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — An Adams County man was arrested Monday after a tip of the location of one stolen vehicle, revealed 10. On Monday, the Adams County Sherriff’s Office received a tip regarding the location of a stolen vehicle in northern rural Adams County via a GPS tracking location. When deputies arrived, they conducted a knock-and-talk at the address, according to a press release. At the location, deputies then discovered 10 total stolen vehicles.

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) — The New Haven Police Department (NHPD) is asking for the public’s help with finding two suspects accused of theft. The theft occurred on December 2, at the New Haven Walgreens at 907 Lincoln Hwy W, according to the NHPD Facebook page. The two suspects, shown below, along with two children, entered the store and allegedly stole over $1,200 worth of merchandise.

WABASH, Ind. (WANE) — A fatal fire in Wabash claims the life of a 2-year-old and critically injured a 6-month-old Saturday afternoon. Indiana State Police and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating after a 911 call around 12:10 p.m. reported a house fire at 646 Columbus Street in Wabash. A passerby observed the fire and alerted family members who were in a separate part of the residence, according to a press release.
