AN appeal has been issued to trace relatives of a woman who recently died at Bradford Royal Infirmary. Anastasija Melnupe was 56 and from the BD5 area of the city. Any relatives or anyone with any information, should contact the bereavement officer at the hospital on 01274 364477.

The event will be held at the Caroline Street Social Club (Image: Google Street View) A FUNDRAISING evening will be held to raise vital funds for a cat rescue centre. The Rock and Roll evening at the Caroline Street Social Club, Saltaire, will be held tomorrow, Friday, June 13. It's in aid of the Allerton Cat Rescue. It will start at 7.30pm and there will be live music, a DJ, a raffle, auction and vintage stalls. Entrance is £7 on the door and the money raised.

The SHOUT programme is run by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. It aims to provide positive role models for young people. “Ultimately, this experience can improve a young person’s life journey and make them less likely to need or instigate blue light services now and in their futures,” said Park Aspire Alternative Provision Academy, whose pupils took part in the programme. They showed off their skills at Fairweather Green Fire Station.

Solenis in Low Moor (Image: Google Street View) A BRADFORD business will test its off-site emergency siren this week. Solenis in Low Moor will test the siren at 10am and 8pm on Thursday, June 5. It is being carried out as part of the company’s obligations under the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 2015. A spokesperson for Solenis said of the testing: "The siren, which produces a sound of increasing and decreasing pitch, will operate for one minute on each occasion.
