A service will be held at Bradford Cenotaph (Image: Newsquest) EVENTS are being held across the district to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day - when the Second World War came to an end in Europe. A memorial service will be held at the Bradford Cenotaph on Thursday, May 8, from 11am. The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Beverley Mullaney, will host a short multi-faith service led by Bradford Cathedral.
