    SPOKANE, Wash. — Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported a small plane made an emergency landing in North Spokane. According to WSP, the plane made the landing because of an engine failure. The plane landed on the northbound lane of the North-South Corridor, just north of the Wellesley exit. No injuries were reported in this incident. WSP said both lanes are fully blocked while the plane is still on the street. There is no determined time for reopening at this time.

    GRANTS PASS, Ore. — You can always justify buying coffee when your purchase supports a good cause. Dutch Bros Coffee is hosting its 18th annual Drink One For Dane Day fundraiser on Friday, May 17. A portion of all drink proceeds will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), a non-profit focused on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research and advocacy. All Dutch Bros locations in the Inland Northwest are participating in the fundraiser.

    SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Velocity FC will welcome a new goalkeeper to the team for the rest of the 2024 soccer season. The league announced Tuesday that Brooks Thompson will fill the goalkeeper position pending league and federation approval. The 21-year-old previously played for the USL Championship League’s Hartford Athletic and is on loan for the rest of the season to Velocity FC.
