    International college students who were facing deportation can breathe a sigh of relief, for now. As the Democrat and Chronicle has reported, a dozen or more international students at Rochester Institute of Technology and University of Rochester had been notified of the loss of what is known as SEVIS status, for the database Student and Exchange Visitor Information System. That database tracks whether students are fulfilling their legal requirements to stay in the United States.
