ROCHESTER, N.Y. – It will not be a continues rainfall, but showers will likely be off and on for at least the next few days. Similar to a weather pattern that we had earlier last week, an elongated low-pressure system will traverse across the eastern half of the country bringing periodic showers to the Rochester. There is the chance of some thunder later Thursday and Friday, but there is no indication of severe weather.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Summer is on its way! You can already feel the heat building this Monday across Western New York. While the summer solstice is still just over five weeks away—arriving on June 20—it is clear that air conditioning season is creeping in early. It is always interesting to compare high temperatures across the country. Latitude does not always tell the full story. Take New Orleans, Louisiana, for example.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A high-pressure system has overspread the great lakes today and that produced a cool, dry northerly wind for this Mother’s Day. However, that bubble of high-pressure will be moving off the east coast and will shift the wind to a more southerly direction for Monday and this will bring in much warmer weather. In fact, the temperature will rise some 20 more degrees compared to Sunday.

It will be slightly cooler for Sunday, but the bright skies and light winds should make for a very pleasant day. However, that ridge of high-pressure will slide off the east coast for Monday.

The News10NBC Team details breaking News, Traffic and Weather. ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Are you feeling waterlogged by all the wet weather this past week? You are not the only one. As a meteorologist, I am always scanning the horizon for a break in the pattern. Over the past seven days, rain gauges across the region have collected anywhere from 1.5 to over 3.5 inches of rain. That is more than half of the typical monthly rainfall and we are only a week into May.
