KIRBYVILLE, Texas — Making our way back into District 10-3A D1, we make a stop North of Beaumont in Kirbyville, Texas where the Wildcats enter 2024 under former Daingerfield Offensive Coordinator Seth Hubbard. Last season the Wildcats fought hard and won a share of the district title in 2023. Making the playoffs, the team was eliminated in the first round by the Shepherd Pirates. With a new season on the horizon, Coach Hubbard is prepared to get his guys in the right mindset.

LUMBERTON, Texas — Before the leaves turn brown and the air gets colder, Chase McDonald will morph the Lumberton Raiders into the vision he has for his squad in 2024. Coming off of two consecutive successful seasons that saw the Raiders go 19-6 overall (11-2 in 2022, 8-4 in 2023), Coach McDonald is prepared to continue the Lumberton winning ways.

BEAUMONT, Texas — It's Opening Day for Southeast Texas with two ballgames taking place in the 409. Beginning at Lamar University at the legendary Vincent-Beck Stadium, Port Neches-Groves opened their season against the West Brook Bruins. Early in the first inning, PNG Starting Pitcher Mason Wuenschel had some trouble finding his touch while West Brook took advantage. Back-to-back-to-back walks lead to a sacrifice fly to center field by Anderson.

BEAUMONT, Texas — One of the most prestigious awards in Southeast Texas is now down to the final eight contestants. The Willie Ray Smith Awards press conference hosted by The Beaumont Founders Lions Club was held tonight. One player from each high school in Southeast Texas is nominated for a chance to be selected as the recipient. The award comes from a Southeast Texas idol. Willie Ray Smith Sr. was the coach who helped turn this area into one of the best football capitals in the country.
