Norwich City manager Johannes Hoff Thorup and some of his players after the Burnley defeat (Image: Matt Wilkinson/Focus Images Ltd) Hands up if you just want this season to be over? Yes, I expected lots of arms to be raised. Are City just about where you expected them to be at this stage?

Josh Sargent is so key to Norwich City's success (Image: Paul Chesterton) It was one of the more bizarre games we have seen at Carrow Road this season. Only leaders Leeds have scored more and the aggregate in NR1 is the highest in the Championship.

2 1/1 “Wem-ber-ley, Wem-ber-ley, we’re the famous Norwich City and we’re off to Wem-ber-ley.” “Hey Sir Arthur South, whatever will be, will be, we’re going to Wem-ber-ley, hey Sir Arthur South.” It felt as if was in dream land as I sang those songs – and many many more – as a starry-eyed Norwich City fan a couple of months short of my 15th birthday in the run-up to the Milk Cup final.

Norwich City Goalkeeper Angus Gunn (Image: Martyn Haworth) In my 45 or so years as a Norwich City fan I’ve been really fortunate to have seen some great keepers. Kevin Keelan – whose appearances record will surely never be beaten – was the custodian when I first stood behind the River End goal on an old fruit box. He was a massive character, terrific stopper and brilliant motivator. His incredible longevity guarantees him legendary status.

3 1/1 After the deflating Friday draw with Oxford under the lights, a few City fans were asking if that meant the season was over. I thought it was a touch premature with 10 games left, 30 points to play for and being within touching distance of the pack.
