CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WOWK) — A body was recovered from the Guyandotte River Saturday afternoon in the Altizer area. That’s according to Cabell County 911 Dispatchers who tell 13 News that the discovery was made in the area behind the Tudor’s on Route 60 in east Huntington. An investigation is underway. SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – High school students in the Kanawha Valley are getting a chance to further their education with college courses without the long drive to Marshall University. Students will no longer have to drive to Huntington to receive the college courses that they need. Instead, they can come right to Marshall University’s South Charleston campus.

CULLODEN, WV (WOWK) – Residents in Culloden are still feeling the effects of a road collapse that happened earlier this year on Russell Court leading to Ridge Run Road near the Culloden Greene apartment complex. Residents tell 13 News that they want the road fixed now, due to safety concerns regarding the neighborhood. Looking back at February of this year, the road along Russell Court doesn’t look much different than it does today. In fact, the road looks like it has seen more damage.
