CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A vehicle has fallen off of a bridge on I-64 near Charleston Saturday afternoon. According to Metro 911 the vehicle fell of the Eastbound I-64 bridge just over MacCorkle Avenue around 2:58 p.m. The vehicle landed next to the road nearby to railroad tracks, flipping over in the process. A 13 News reporter on the scene said the vehicle’s driver was transported in an ambulance from the crash. A firefighter told the reporter that the driver is conscious and alert.

BUFFALO, WV (WOWK) — A 55 tree apple orchard representing West Virginia’s counties is the newest living memorial for September 11 servicemen and women who died serving their country. The memorial is located in Buffalo, and Toyota Motors Manufacturing in West Virginia held a ceremony Tuesday afternoon to open it up to the community. “It’s a place to come where they can remember, where they can honor those that have served our country,” President of Toyota West Virginia David Rosier said.
