WHBF-TV (Rock Island,IL)
WHBF-TV, also known as Channel 4, is a CBS-affiliated television station based in Rock Island, Illinois. It serves the Quad Cities region, which includes parts of northwestern Illinois and southeastern Iowa. Nexstar Media Group owns the station and operates it alongside KGCW, a CW+ affiliate licensed to Burlington, Iowa. Additionally, Nexstar manages KLJB, a Fox affiliate in Davenport, Iowa, through a shared services agreement with its owner, Mission Broadcasting. All three stations operate from shared studios located in the Telco Building on 18th Street in downtown Rock Island. The station's master control and some internal functions are run from the facilities of WROC-TV, another CBS affiliate, in Rochester, New York. WHBF-TV broadcasts from a transmitter situated in Bettendorf, Iowa. For cable viewers, the station can be found on Mediacom's channel 4 in standard definition and on digital channel 704 in high definition.

Microsoft began laying off nearly 3% of its entire workforce Tuesday, its largest mass layoff in more than two years. The tech giant didn’t disclose the total amount of lost jobs but it will amount to about 6,000 people.
