Former Gateway Police Chief Grant Hardin escaped from prison in Calico Rock, Arkansas on Sunday afternoon. Hardin was serving sentences a 30-year sentence for murder and an additional sentence for rape. Garfield is a couple miles down the road from Gateway. “This is too close to home, we don't like this kind of negative attention," Garfield Mayor Gary Blackburn said.

One year later, the Decatur Chamber of Commerce hosted a get together to reflect on the last year and let those hit the hardest by the tornado know the city is still there for them. "We're not totally healed yet, but we're healing," Decatur Mayor Bob Tharp said.

"Brought the ponchos, brought the got the cars to take cover so we're not worried about rain.”Frank Hopper has been a razorback fan for over 70 years and was at the game on Sunday.
