Minneapolis, MN – State health officials are urging Minnesotans to make sure they are vaccinated against whooping cough. The Minnesota Department of Health says just over a thousand cases have now been reported throughout the state, compared to 61 cases during the same period last year. Vaccinations for the illness need to be updated every ten years to help decrease the severity of symptoms and the length of time it lingers.
More EV Chargers to be Added on the Road in North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) — Owners of electric vehicles may be able to find more chargers on the road in the state. The North Dakota Department of Transportation announced its plans to invest more than a million dollars to place more EV chargers throughout the state. The DOT says 16 communities in the state are eligible to receive funds for one charging station with two or more “fast” chargers. Officials said this is a separate initiative from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program.

Train vs Semi Collision in Cass County

A semi hauling gravel collided with a train Saturday morning sending the truck driver to the hospital with non-life treating injuries. The train was traveling northwest when the semi ran into the automatic crossing arms resulting in running into the side of train, The accident took place on the rail line across 25th St SE in Cass County. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Measure 5 would legalize recreational marijuana for adults.
