BISMARCK, ND –North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe has named the North Dakota County Auditors Association as the recipient of the 2024 North Dakota Election Hero Award. The honor was presented October 21 during the opening session of the North Dakota Association of Counties (NDACo) Annual Conference. “We would not be able to hold North Dakota elections without the hard work and dedication of our state’s county auditors,” says Secretary Howe.

Minneapolis, MN – State health officials are urging Minnesotans to make sure they are vaccinated against whooping cough. The Minnesota Department of Health says just over a thousand cases have now been reported throughout the state, compared to 61 cases during the same period last year. Vaccinations for the illness need to be updated every ten years to help decrease the severity of symptoms and the length of time it lingers.

(Bismarck, ND) — Owners of electric vehicles may be able to find more chargers on the road in the state. The North Dakota Department of Transportation announced its plans to invest more than a million dollars to place more EV chargers throughout the state. The DOT says 16 communities in the state are eligible to receive funds for one charging station with two or more “fast” chargers. Officials said this is a separate initiative from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program.
